Evaluations
Well, we had the feeding evaluation done and didn't really learn too much. She said to keep Anna on the formula mix we are doing and keep adding more of the higher stuff, which we are little by little. She has been more hungry this week and is drinking better, maybe a growth spurt! She is about 19lbs 8oz. The Feeding specialist said to pretty much keep trying new foods with her, which we do daily, and hope some things she will start to try out. They don't actually have a feeding clinic, somehow got that wrong, and she said we are not ready to have to go to one, just yet...
As far as the second evaluation for her sensory issues, they did see some potential in the therapy helping her out. So we start this week with 3x a week therapy and see how she responds to that. Hoping she will start letting people hug her and be more comfortable with things around her. The therapist said she thinks Anna has been traumatized and needs some healing done, that we need to slowly let her become comfortable with people and food and anything else that has brought her pain or fear. Like the reflux she has had for so long has made her not want to eat because she knows it causes pain when she vomits, etc. Then that so many people have given her shots or surgery or ivs or things that again have caused her pain and she is having trust issues. Well, at least we have somewhere to start.
She is 14 1/2 mo today so that is 13mo developmentally corrected. Im not sure of her height, but she did gain weight, yay!

Our little "pookie" got another ear infection...We went to the ENT and the recommend tubes in her ears. So I guess when we return from the beach we will be going through that surgery. At least its a quick one! Our evaluations are on Wednesday, so will post the results here later. :)
Time is flying!

1 year photo
Our little girl is changing and keeping mommy so busy, so not so much posting or computer play :(
She is 13 1/2 months old now, so technically she is exactly 1 year old developmentally! They will follow this corrected age until she is 2 years old.
She is growing in weight and reached 18lbs! Unfortunatly, as it usually is with our little Anna, she has had diarrhea for over a week and is losing those precious ounces she just gained.
Progress: she is now standing on her own, she is walking, we have counted up to 10 steps. She has decided that she will feed herself and even though its a bit of a messy mealtime, she is trying and doing pretty good. She is only liking dry foods right now, so cheerios are her favorite food. We are trying to get her to eat fruits or veggies, but right now she really doesn't want to even touch them, lol.
She is drinking more formula, about 20oz per day, she is still on formula for the nutrients until she is eating better, they will probably change her to toddler formula soon. She laughs a lot and has found that giggling when others giggle is really funny! I think she grew about 1/2 an inch this month. We finally got her 1 year photo in and actually ordered another pose which isn't here yet...
She is getting in 4 molars right now all at the same time as well as another bottom front tooth. She is sleeping through the night, until about 6am every morning. She takes one nap and really likes going for walks. She loves being read to and has started liking crawling in the grass. She says dada and mama and knows what they mean. She also says "all done". Other than those, she is babbling all the time in her own language. We are really happy that she is doing so well. We have another Gi appt next week and then the dietician the week after that. At the end of June we will have a feeding evaluation to see if anyone has some suggestions on how to get her to like food. She still sees an OT every week and she is really helping Anna with falling to sleep and sensory issues.
