11 1/2 months old...3/29/12
We are getting ready for our 1 year party! Her party will be before her actual birthday, so we can have grandma and Dylan home with us. Hoping to get to our goal weight of 17lbs by then. Myanna is 16lbs 14oz right now, but she is boycotting her bottles again! This little girlie! Her two top teeth have finally popped in, she now has 4 teeth. We were practicing wearing our headband for our birthday, she pulls everything off her head. She is getting around fast now and I have to go buy a gate for the house. She babbles a lot and is doing great for her age, the OT says. We are so proud of her progress. Now, we just need some hair, lol.

11 month old update! 3/14/12
Dylan and Amanda came home for Spring Break and we got a family picture! Yay!
And Myanna got to hang out with her brother and sister at last! She misses them and it's great when they get a chance to come home! |

Myanna is turning 11 months old! Which puts her adjusted age at 9 1/2 months. She is doing very well. She got sick again and has been giving me a fit about eating. She is on a bottle strike but I am still trying to get enough in her everyday. It is a battle, unfortunately. I wish she liked to eat... They did the Upper GI series on Monday, 3/12 and found nothing wrong. She is anatomically correct the lab tech told us. Which is terrific news, but just leads us to wonder what could be preventing her from eating. At her age and 16 pounds, she still only drinks 3oz bottles and small bowls of food 3x daily. She is happy and has a lot of energy though which is a good thing. She is now great at crawling and she cruises around the couches to get around. She actually let go yesterday for about 2 seconds before she lost her balance, so she is trying to stand on her own. She talks a lot, babbling that is, and is very vocal. Her gums are swollen terribly and we are really hoping those other teeth will come in soon! She still only has two from 5 months ago! She gave me a kiss on monday too! That was a milestone for me. She was just staring at me and then, smack, she put her lips on mine! It was actually funny and quite moving. I will treasure it. We are planning her big 1 year birthday coming up soon! We are going with a Mickey Mouse theme, she likes him and thinks he is talking to her on the TV and smiles in response.

Finally our "9 month" photo!
Well, we took our 9 month photo a little late...since she was sick we wanted to wait until she was putting on weight and happy again. She is now a 16 pounder! She's funny how she won't gain any weight for days even a week and then poof she gains ounces at a time. She is doing great and her crawling is getting more textbook like. Got that right knee down finally. And we found out, she loves dill pickles...too bad no calories in them! Oh, and the main event...she says Mama...not really to me, but its being spoken and so now she has quite the vocabulary of consonants and vowels that she rattles off like she is having a conversation...that no one can understand! You should hear her when she's mad!

10 Months Old, Happy Valentine's Day!Myanna will be exactly 10 months old on Valentine's Day! She is a baby with a purpose and definitely on the move! She has developed a tummy and it looks quite funny on her little frame. She has begun to crawl and is happy to get moving around at last. Her eating is still not great, but we are making the calories she needs most days to gain some weight. She did really well in January and got up to 15pounds, 8oz...but we sorta stalled there. Hopefully she will start eating a little more soon and start gaining again. Being on the move also uses up those calories though. Just two days after she figured out crawling, she began to pull herself up to standing. She likes to stand at the couch and the totes we have. She only stays for a couple of minutes, but is getting better each day. Her hair is finally becoming noticeable and it seems to be a dark brown. We just got her 9 month photos taken, a little late because she was ill. Hope to have those back in about 2 weeks and I can post them then. She smiled really great! She babbles a lot but no words as of yet...but technically she is considered an 8 1/2 month old so she still has plenty of time for that. Thanks for everyones prayers while she was sick!
