Weeks before spinal surgery...fun, family and sun

The weeks before spinal surgery for Anna were very eventful ones. We had a lot going on with a heart walk, the last day for horse riding (hippotherapy), last day for gymnastics, last day and graduation of pre-k and a visit to NY to relax and have fun. I think Chris and I were overwhelmed with worries and fears of the unknown and just wanted to find some fun and see our little girl smile before the impending pain. As much as I realize this is not my fault, to look in her eyes and explain that even though she has no pain she needs back surgery was hard and impossible to express. I felt guilty for the pain and her not being able to enjoy her summer. I just wanted it to all be a bad dream. 
So, I put on my mommy can do this face, and packed and asked for advice and read and read about everything I could...preparing for this next surgery. I just thought people might enjoy to see some fun photos before her surgery :)
