*****Update: Anna gained well over the weekend, she must have been feeling a little better. So, 2 days after her birthday she is now 16 pounds and 15.6oz..Almost made it to her 17 pound goal (my goal). She gained 13 lbs and 10.6 oz since she was born...and grew over a foot! She is 28 1/4 inches long, she grew since a couple weeks ago when I had the previous length...then again it is really subjective. The doctor said she is right on track developmentally and we have an appt with Johns Hopkins on friday, the 20th for her tummy and feeding issues...keep you updated! Also, she is now boycotting her pacifier which makes life a little harder since that was her comfort piece. I believe it is her teeth...********

My little Anna...as of 1 year old...she is currently 16lbs, 10oz. (friday the 13th) She lost a little weight. She really doesn't want those bottles or milk of any kind and its really hard to get enough calories in her without them. We have tried many combinations and cups and juices, anything really...So, she is 27 inches long and our tiny little warrior is a crazy baby with lots of energy! Unfortunatly all that energy she uses doesn't make her hungry :(
We are still having some tests in the future to understand, hopefully, why she is unable to eat more food at a sitting without vomiting. She is doing wonderfully with her motor skills and the therapist said she is at 12months which is really great, since she is technically at 101/2 months and it is based upon that age. She is talking more and I think trying to determine who we are:dada and mama, instead of just babbling the words. She gives kisses, sometimes, and can turn off a light if you tell her to. She can cruise the furniture and stand now for about 15 seconds without holding on. She crawls everywhere and stairs are her favorite, up went the gates!
We are so proud of how far she has come! Our little angel is as beautiful as a ray of sunshine! She brings smiles to everyones face, she is a joy! One year! WOW! ...can I just add...she is the size of an average 6 mo old! My petite angel.

Mickey Mouse Birthday Party!
We celebrated Anna's birthday a week early due to scheduling conflicts, but she didn't care...We had family and friends over and more family is still expecting to come visit so her birthday will go on for a couple weeks, lol.
She received such great gifts, we need to get those Thank you's out! yikes! Thanks to everyone. Mommy made the cake, a little rusty after all these years, but got it done! Anna got clothes for summer and new toys too! She got a stroller/trike and a new Radio Flyer trike as well. She's gonna be a busy girl. Some photos I have to get from other people's cameras yet, and I will post them when I get them. :) |
