Kindergarten here we come...ready or not (her fav't game is hide and seek)
School starts here the last Monday of August every year and we made our vacation for the week before. Of course not realizing that kindergarten orientation would be the Friday before. But, nevertheless, we started school the first day very happy and excited! She has now completed her first week and is still smiling and asking when she can go back again. She is off for Labor day tomorrow. We had some photos taken so I didn't have to worry about the horrible ones at school and they were pretty good. At least she is smiling and looking at the camera, win win! Soon we will be having our post op appt in Boston and at the end of the month back to see our Cardiologist. I cannot believe it will be our 5 year anniversary since Anna's open heart surgery...but that will be another post. In October, we have a big celebration on the High Seas with a Halloween Disney Cruise. We are so excited about this adventure that includes our first trip to Walt Disney World and the Magic Kingdom!

We had a late vacation...
to end our summer before the school year began. Anna was finally cleared from her surgery and we all were feeling a little closed in at home. Hilton Head here we come. It was beautiful there, what a wonderful week enjoyed with Dylan and Nanny and PapPap. Anna amazed all of us once again by learning to swim. By the end of the week she could swim 8 feet across with coming up for a breath. All she wanted to do was be in the water or at the beach. It was refreshing for us all.
She was brave and decided that the strawberry ice cream sounded like a good treat for her.
We went to visit Uncle David and Aunt Lina in Georgia for the day and found some great places to play and have fun despite the humid weather.
Back at the time share...ping pong tournament got quite interesting with Nanny and PapPap both playing. Of course nothing can be done without Anna giving it a go...

Amanda came home and surprised Anna for dinner and literally brought her to sobbing tears. She misses her big sister very much. She was able to stay a couple days and bought a new car while here...with Anna's help of course
I realized I haven't posted much about Anna's dog, Pixie. She turned two in August and is a big stuffed animal. She's a bit hyper like Anna but they have lots of fun.
Mommy and Daddy's 25th anniversary

Anna has been trying many new foods lately. She may not like them, but she is brave enough to try them. That's been a huge step for her. This summer she has tried some fruits like banana, lemon and apple and hot dog, Italian dressing and carrots.

Her scar is looking very good and now we just need for it to lighten so I'm using mederma nightly like I did with her heart scar. She has a recheck on Sept 16th back in Boston.
