Myrtle Beach May 2016

With Anna's surgery coming up, and expecting a lot of down time...we decided to let her have some fun at the beach first! Nanny and PapPap were able to get us a place to stay and share our trip with us. We were also very happy that Dylan was able to come for a few days! We were told after the first day, friday, that every day would have 80% or more chance of thunderstorms and rain all day. We were Blessed and had beautiful days to enjoy the pools and the beach. Even with overcast a few days, we got our fair of sun and were exhausted by evening! Even so, we found energy to play cards with Nanny and PapPap after Anna went to bed.
This was really our first vacation that felt like a vacation since Anna was born. Her sensory issues sometimes made it very difficult to go out to eat, or enjoy time at the beach. We usually had to take turns chasing her up and down the beach. This year was awesome! She had so much fun just playing and found new friends to play with every day either at the beach or the pool. Another huge step was her learning to hold her breath under water, and with that accomplishment, she learned to dive for toys and go down the slide. By the end of the week she was doing some swimming, a few feet! So proud of my little water baby! Hope you enjoy the photos I finally got on here...
