She is growing up! This year has been huge for Anna

From growing in weight to growing her hair out...she is changing by leaps and bounds!

I cannot believe in a few days my little one will be five years old. We have done a lot the past few months and I will try to catch everyone up. I do not know what kinds of emotions I'm going through at this time of year...too many to count I presume. I am excited and sad, proud and overwhelmed. She has shown us once again how time, patience and perseverance has paid off and she is eating real foods. She is talking so much that she has been dismissed from speech at the public school. She will still be receiving speech through our private facility however. She is riding her pony with the ability to turn her to the left and right all by herself as well as learning to post while she is trotting. She is showing her strength and balance more in gymnastics as well and receiving ribbons for completions of new accomplishments like backwards somersault and climbing the rope.
We have a major breakthrough with feeding! She has started tasting foods and with that has realized there are foods she likes! Tomato soup, turkey lunchmeat, salami, wendy’s frosty, strawberry ice cream, strawberry or blueberry yogurt, whipped topping, plain and chocolate chip bagel, plain donut, short bread cookie, chicken, lo mein noodles, blueberry, fortune cookies and cherry pie filling...and she sipped some apple juice!!

As far as how is she doing...I believe she is around 35 lbs and 3 1/2 feet tall. I reduced her milk combo intake last year and added half water. This is helping her to eat more as well as providing more water that she needs. She has been healthier this year. With the continuous runny/stuffy nose issues, her pediatrician decided to put her on a daily 5mg Claritin. It seemed to help a bit, but through the season she raised the dosage to 10mg. We have made it though the crazy weather changes with little to no issues!
She has received a new diagnosis recently that we knew was coming but due to school issues, ADHD was required sooner than usual. Another dx that really didn't even phase me this time. My girl has energy and can be very impulsive. They are also realizing that in school its becoming a bit harder to maintain her focus and this dx will help her with receiving the services she needs to succeed. Speaking of school, we just finished developing her IEP for next year. Anna will be going into a general education kindergarten class but we are still unsure of what school. They will be adding an extra person in the room to help her as well as items and breaks for her fidgeting.
On our little vacations recently, Anna went swimming, played at a park, sat on a huge bear, ate shortbread cookies, visited with Santa Claus who checked her name off as being good in his big book...and to our amazement, her name was in the book! Not often do we see Myanna in print, but then again...he is Santa

Recently we have visited the Easter bunny, gone on a trip to Williamsburg with Nanny and PapPap, had family over for Easter and had an Easter egg hunt, traveled to Boston for medical appts, rode a ferry boat to NY and visited with Grandma and all the cousins, Aunts and Uncles for a surprise birthday party! She said her favorite thing in Williamsburg was playing putt putt golf and she wants to play again soon.
