Hospital again...1/13/12

So, on monday January 9th, Myanna was not eating very well...by Wednesday she had quite a cold...by Friday when I took her to the pediatrician she was diagnosed with RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus). In adults it is a cold, but in young infants, especially preemies who have compromised immune systems it can be quite serious. Later, on friday, after Myanna had vomited up everything she ate or drank we were on our way to the ER. She was admitted that night and put on a NDtube which is a feeding tube that goes in your nose and directly into her duodenum (or small intestine). This was so she wouldn't throw up the food from her stomach since it was past that point. On Sunday morning I started feeding her to see if she could keep food down, and she did. Sunday night the doctor decided that since she was eating her own food that she could go home. We were very happy and she was thrilled to get the tube out of her nose! The next morning, we brought her to the pediatrician and she is very comfortable there...she sat very quietly while she was checked and they heard wheezing in her lower right lung, Pneumonia. I guess since she is pretty miserable and didn't really trust the doctors at the hospital that they couldn't hear her lungs well enough...end result, she was put on a nebulizer and antibiotic. She also had an ear infection starting so that just added more to her misery. My poor baby...she just can't catch a break.
